A History Steeped in Tradition
Meets an atmosphere of wellbeing
The story of the Hotel Bellaval began over 100 years ago. Still called the ‘Hotel Bahnhöfli’, these thick stone walls welcomed their first guests in 1913. The traditional building, made with the special stone of the Graubünden Valley, has been maintained until today. Even now, each and every stone could tell tales of its difficult construction. The old ‘Bahnhöfli’ was a well-renowned building, which was known far beyond the borders of Scuol as a Rhaetian railway station.
Natural materials for a cosy feel
Now modernised, the Hotel Bellaval hasn’t lost its charm of times gone by. The thick stone walls have been retained, and still define the building’s character. The cosy lounge still features Swiss stone pine wood added to the building last century, some of which is over 200 years old, that gives the building its natural, rustic flair.
Tradition comes to life
It’s important to Thomas Schulze, the hotel’s director, that the hotel’s rich history isn’t forgotten. He places great importance on cosiness and conviviality - so you can let go and simply relax without any pressure as you enjoy good food and drink in a pleasant atmosphere, just like they used to in times gone by.
